Scary Preseason Moment Ends Up Being Good News For Vancouver Canucks Centre Filip Chytil
Filip Chytil has long been dealing with concussion issues, during Sunday's preseason match against the Seattle Kraken, Chytil was levelled with a hit by Kaapo Kakko, and while many were concerned for his health, he shook it off as if nothing happened.
This isn't the firstime
Chytil's injury history is brought up, and how crucial he is to the Canucks being so limited up the middle.
"Not only do we not know how well Pettersson and even
Filip Chytil will even perform, their injury history is pretty discouraging too. If one of them goes down the Canucks will be completely exposed at arguably the most important position."-Stinson
Vancouver Canucks' Filip Chytil shows all clear signs after big hit Sunday against Seattle Kraken.
Ben Kuzma recently posted on the province.com through his twitter account regarding the hit and how Chytil isn't worried at all by the effects of it.
"Canucks: Why heavy hit from former linemate Sunday was good news for Filip Chytil. «I'm not thinking about it (concussions) at all. I understand people are worried about it, but I know my body and what's going on.»- Filip Chytil
With Chytil's history of concussion issues, major concerns arose immediately after the hit, but it ended being good news, but the fact it is not even at the back of Chytil's mind is good news. He will play his game without the worry of injury.
It raised concerns because Chytil has had five career concussions, including the latest on March 15 that ended his season. However, Chytil quickly sprang up and finished his shift and the game. He logged 19:52 and had flashes of dash and determination in the 5-3 setback that were as encouraging as surviving the big hit."-Kuzma
Filip Chytil will play a massive role this year for the Canucks, especially if they do not find a true 2nd line center, not only will he have to stay healthy, but also step his game several levels. An injury to Chytil will spell disaster for the Canucks with no backup options in sight.
