Signing: Vancouver Canucks Organization Agrees to Terms with Former NCAA Champion
The Vancouver Canucks organization has officially announced the signing of an ex-NCAA champion this week to help shore up their roster early on in the 2025-26 season.
It's been a busy time for the Vancouver Canucks organization as the 2025-26 season continues to roll along, with the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks signing former NHLer Jujhar Khaira this week, along with Arnaud Durandeau, who inked a professional tryout (PTO).
Meanwhile down in the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings have been continuing to add to their roster as well, acquiring defenseman Ryan Dickinson from the Worcester Railers for future considerations last week and are now adding a former NCAA champion back to their group.

In a press release on their website, the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings announced that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract for the remainder of the 2025-26 season with forward Luke Morgan.
"The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, announced Saturday that forward Luke Morgan has signed a Standard Player Contract with the team." the club said.
Morgan, a native of Brighton, Michigan, is entering his fourth season as a member of the Kalamazoo Wings and after not re-signing with the club in the summer, it was unclear where he was going to continue his hockey career before the two sides decided to circle back recently to put pen-to-paper on a new.
Before making the jump to professional hockey, the 28-year-old spent five seasons in the NCAA, one with Lake Superior State University, and four with the University of Michigan, where he put up 66 points (23 goals, 43 assists), 53 penalty minutes and was a plus-14 in 173 games.
Morgan made his 2025-26 season debut with the Kalamazoo Wings this weekend, helping them defeat the Iowa Heartlanders in overtime last night and the club will be back in action next Friday as they head out on the road to take on the Bloomington Bison.
