Some very surprising odds have been revealed when it comes to the National Hockey League's Jack Adams Award for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

As the offseason continues to roll along, a good chunk of teams are essentially done making significant additions to the organization, whether that be to their roster or coaching staff, and now, odds are slowly starting to be released for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and even individual awards.
So far, the odds makers aren't aren't liking Vancouver's chances of returning to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, despite adding Evander Kane to their roster this summer and locking up Brock Boeser to a seven-year deal just as the free agent market opened.
More odds have been released in the last few days including one for the Jack Adams Award, which is handed out annually by the National Hockey League to the coach that "is adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success" and it's a bit surprising when it comes to Adam Foote's chances of winning it in his first year behind the bench.

Surprising odds released for NHL's 2025-26 Jack Adams Award

In a social media post on Friday, PROLINE BC shared their Jack Adams Award odds for the 2025-26 campaign and Adam Foote comes in at +2700, which isn't horrible considering, as mentioned, it's his first year as a Head Coach in the National Hockey League.
However, former Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Rick Tocchet, who left the club in late April and eventually joined one of his former teams, the Philadelphia Flyers, his odds to win the Jack Adams Award are slightly higher than his former colleague.
Two seasons after taking home the Jack Adams Award, PROLINE BC gives Rick Tocchet a +2200 chance at winning a second during his first season behind the bench with the Philadelphia Flyers.
"Will Adam Foote or Rick Tocchet win the Jack Adams award in 2025/26? 🧐 #Canucks"
On paper, there's no question that the Vancouver Canucks have a better roster than the Philadelphia Flyers, from top end talent like Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson to having two legit starting goaltending options in Thatcher Demko and Kevin Lankinen.
While the Philadelphia Flyers do have some solid players on their roster, highlighted by Matvei Michkov, Travis Konecny, among others, to give Rick Tocchet better Jack Adams odds than Adam Foote is a bit puzzling.
