A new ridiculous trade proposal has come to the surface between the Vancouver Canucks and Pittsburgh Penguins in order to fill the hole left by star forward Brock Boeser.

Ever since Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin refused to make a decision with Brock Boeser and didn't trade nor offer him a contract, the speculation about his future with the team has been highly volatile.
Regardless of the Canuck' interest to bring him back, the last couple of weeks have basically confirmed the rumors to be true as Boeser wants to test free-agency to see if he can get more than what Allvin is willing to offer him.
«The Canucks keep in contact with his agent,» Dhaliwal said on the Halford and Brough show this past Friday. «They are showing interest, but it sounds like Boeser wants to test July 1st.

«If things don't go his way, I get the feeling that Boeser would be willing to talk with Vancouver again.» - Rick Dhaliwal

Trade Proposal finds a replacement for star forward Brock Boeser

As a 40-goal scorer in the NHL, Boeser will not be easily replaced but it is Allvin's
job to find someone with at least a close comparable.
That brings us to a recent but ridiculous trade proposal made by the popular Canucks show Sekeres & Price that suggested trading their 2025 15th overall pick and Victor Mancini for Pittsburgh Penguins forward Rickard Rakell.
While Rakell is no slouch in the NHL, he is a pretty strong comparable for Boeser, but the fact that the proposal mentions a 1st-rounder and their top defenseman prospect for a return is pretty ridiculous.
In 81 games last season, the 32-year-old winger scored 35 goals and 35 assists for 70 points.
