The Vancouver Canucks are bringing back a familiar face to fans in an off-ice role beginning next month ahead of the 2025-26 National Hockey League season.

It's been a busy summer for the Vancouver Canucks both on and off the ice as big changes were needed after a disappointing campaign that saw them miss out on the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
In terms of their NHL roster, Patrik Allvin was able to bring in some grittiness and scoring for his top-six winger by acquiring Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers, he re-signed Brock Boeser to a long-term contract, opened up some cap space by moving on from Dakota Joshua and cleared his goaltending logjam by shipping Arturs Silovs to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Canucks also made some changes behind the bench, replacing Rick Tocchet with Adam Foote, while hiring three new Assistant Coaches - Kevin Dean, Brett McLean and Scott Young and this week, it was announced that they've also made another addition off the ice.

Vancouver Canucks bring back familiar face for upcoming season

As the summer rolls along, the Vancouver Canucks aren't done making additions to the organization and a familiar face is returning to the club and if you've attended a game at Rogers Arena, then you'll know exactly who this is.
In a social media post on Friday, Tyson Geick, a former in-arena host for the Vancouver Canucks, announced that he's been hired by Canucks Sports & Entertainment as the Director of Content & Social.
"I am beyond excited to share that I'm joining @Canucks Sports & Entertainment as Director of Content & Social.

A full-circle moment-and a privilege to return to a world-class organization in a world-class city. Can't wait to get started. See you in September, Vancouver." Geick said.
Geick is set to begin his new role with Canucks Sports & Entertainment next month, just as the club opens up their Rookie Camp and Training Camp.
