With a team that is in desperate need of players to step-up and stay healthy, new Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane is already risking his health in the first season with his new club.

It is no secret that General Manager Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks were going to have a pressure-field offseason in order to fix all the holes that left them missing the 2024-25 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Unfortunately, they have not signed the big ticket free-agent target they were hoping for, but they did manage to acquire controversial power forward Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers.

Vancouver Canucks' Evander Kane spotted playing in beer league after injury riddled season

One thing the Canucks struggled with a ton last season was having big players out of the lineup due to injury, and if they are going to compete, they are going to have players healthy come training camp.
With that being said, Kane was spotted appearing in a summer beer hockey league, playing under a fake name of Fa Afo, a tribute to his own saying that he came up with following a playoff matchup Vs the Vegas Golden Knights, where he bested Keegan Kolesar in a scrum.
Despite the recent trade, Kane was suiting up in a league in Edmonton once again. The only difference this time was that, while still rocking Oilers gloves, he had Canucks pant shells on.

It is common for NHLers to play summer hockey, but they play usually play with other pro's or up and coming prospects who are in the same boat when it comes to knowing the limit to push for injuries not to happen.
The 33-year-old is no stranger to injuries, notably undergoing surgery last summer to repair two torn hip adductor muscles, two hernias and two torn lower abdominal muscles in September, as well has getting surgery in January.
Although it is good news that Kane is back to full status and is ready to go, it may not be the best idea to risk his first season with the Nucks playing in a summer beer league with non-professional players, especially with his history.
