Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser is ready to form a lethal partnership on the team's top line with Elias Pettersson once again during the 2025-26 season.
After a disappointing season in 2024-25, the Vancouver Canucks have turned the page and are hoping for a bounce back this time around and it'll begin today, as the team plays their first game of the preseason against the Seattle Kraken.
One player the Vancouver Canucks are needing an rebound from is Swedish forward Elias Pettersson, who
says he's out for revenge after registering just 45 points 64 games last year.
With Pettersson able to train at full health this summer, something he wasn't able to do during the offseason in 2024, there's no reason why he can't bounce back and potentially form that lethal partnership he had with Brock Boeser during the 2023-24 campaign.

The penultimate day of training camp saw the Vancouver Canucks hold their annual Blue vs White game and as is usually the case, the coaching staff put together lines that we could see on opening night, including one featuring Brock Boeser and Elias Pettersson.
Boeser and Pettersson connected on an empty net goal late in the third period on Saturday afternoon, giving Team White a 4-1 lead with two minutes remaining.
"Boes with the empty-netter to make it 4-1 Team White ⚪️!"
After the game, Brock Boeser spoke with reporters where he shared how excited he is to be playing alongside Elias Pettersson again, saying that the two finally got chemistry going again later on last season prior to the Swedes injury and hopefully, they'll be able to right out of the gate this year.
"I'm excited to get back with him. I actually thought we started to get that chemistry back last year before he got injured, so I'm excited to get it going again this year." Boeser said.
While it's basically confirmed that Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser will form two-thirds of Vancouver's top line, occupying the 1C and 1RW roles, repsectivly, who plays on the left side is still up for debate.
As of now, there are two legit options for that role - Jake DeBrusk and
Evander Kane, both of whom will get their looks on the top line throughout the preseason, potentially as early as Wednesday's game in Abbotsford against the Calgary Flames.
