A three-time 30+ goal scorer might be available to the Vancouver Canucks this summer and could be a potential replacement for pending unrestricted free agent Brock Boeser.

The Vancouver Canucks made some noise on the trade market on Wednesday morning as as they acquired Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers, which will bring some much-needed size and physicality to their lineup next season.
While adding Evander Kane is a good first step for the Vancouver Canucks this offseason, he certainly won't be able to replace Brock Boeser in the top-six, with the Burnsville, Minnesota native set to hit the free agent market next Tuesday.

Also on Wednesday morning, Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff shared his updated trade targets list, which included a few new names including Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Brandon Carlo and St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou, someone who could be of interest to the Vancouver Canucks this summer.
With Kyrou's no-trade clause kicking in on July 1st and with the Blues being a "middling" team right now, Seravalli believes this could be a good way for them to get a little bit younger and land some pieces that can help them in the coming years when they're ready to make another push for the Stanley Cup.
"So why would the Blues move him? That's a big commitment remaining. Plus the calculus that rival teams have made is that GM Doug Armstrong will see rookie Jimmy Snuggerud as a player who can effectively soon replace Kyrou. The Blues are a middling team that aren't young, and this may be one way to continue to turn over the roster." Seravalli said.

Now, given the production the Toronto native has brought in each of the last four seasons, it won't be easy to pry him out of St. Louis, nor will it be cheap, as Seravalli added later on Wednesday during Daily Faceoff Live, saying that they would need an impact player in return.
"Frank Seravalli: If the Blues move Jordan Kyrou it would be for an impact player, someone like a Noah Dobson or JJ Peterka - Daily Faceoff Live" NHL Rumour Report said on X.

In terms of impact players the Vancouver Canucks have, one that comes to mind is Elias Pettersson, who has a no-movement clause kicking in on Canada Day and teams have reportedly been calling Patrik Allvin regarding the Sundsvall, Sweden native in an attempt to land him before his NMC goes into effect.
Perhaps the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues could work out an Elias Pettersson-Jordan Kyrou deal, with the latter having six years left on his contract with an AAV of $8.125 million, however, moving the Swedish forward would create further problems for Patrik Allvin down the middle.
Kyrou, 27, appeared in all 82 games during the regular season for St. Louis for the second consecutive year, registering 70 points (36 goals, 34 assists) along with 20 penalty minutes and was a plus-23.
