Vancouver Canucks Fans Relishing Over Recent Performance Reports About J.T. Miller

It's been nearly seven weeks since the Vancouver Canucks traded J.T. Miller to the team that drafted him, the New York Rangers, after a reported rift with forward Elias Pettersson.

Miller was exactly the type of player that the New York Rangers were searching for on the trade market earlier on in 2025 as the team wanted someone that could bring more scoring depth and grit to the lineup.

J.T. Miller's second stint with the New York Rangers started out strong with two goals in his first game, which came against Boston and two assists on day later at home against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Since then, Miller's production has been up and down and while he has eight points so far in the month of March, he's had a bit of trouble putting the puck in the back of the net.

When the buzzer sounded at Madison Square Garden last night at the end of the third period, it marked the eighth straight game that J.T. Miller has not scored, with his last marker coming on March 3rd during a 4-0 win over the New York Islanders.

This isn't the longest goal-less streak of the season for J.T. Miller either, which feels strange to say for someone who's been so consistent over the years.

Between November 17th and January 3rd, Miller went 12 games without a goal, snapping that streak with a two-goal performance on January 6th against Montreal.

After that game against the Montreal Canadiens, Miller then went on an eight-game goal-less streak, before scoring his final goal as a member of the Vancouver Canucks on January 27th against the St. Louis Blues.

The New York Rangers paid a big price to acquire J.T. Miller, giving up defensive prospect Victor Mancini, forward Filip Chytil and a 2025 first-round pick and they're hoping that he'll break out of his slump in the coming days with some very important games left on the schedule.

Miller and the Rangers will face Toronto tomorrow night before hosting his former club, the Vancouver Canucks, at Madison Square Garden on Saturday for a 10 am PT puck drop.
