Key Canucks Forward Among Three to Miss 2025-26 Training Camp

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin issued injury updates on three players on Wednesday, one day before the club is set to open up training camp.

Hockey is officially back in Vancouver as members of the organization participated in their physical exams on Wednesday and will hit the ice tomorrow in Penticton, British Columbia
While the players were undergoing their physicals on Wednesday, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin, along with President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford and Head Coach Adam Foote, met with reporters and discussed a number of topics from their search for center help to Quinn Hughes' future with the club and even some injury updates as well.

According to Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin, three members of the organization are dealing with injuries and will not be ready for the start of training camp tomorrow.
Defenseman Jett Woo had surgery in early October and for now, is deemed month-to-month, with the club potentially expecting him back on the ice in November.
Woo, 25, re-signed with the Canucks back in July and the 2018 second round pick is getting set for his sixth season of professional hockey after helping Abbotsford win the Calder Cup earlier this year.
Allvin also shared that Ty Mueller, who made his NHL debut on April 12th against the Minnesota Wild was supposed to play in the Prospects Showcase games against Seattle, but got hurt last month and should be able to resume skating next week.
The final injury update given by Patrik Allvin on Wednesday was in regards to Latvian forward Anri Ravinskis, who the club signed towards the end of the 2025 IIHF World Championship, had surgery to fix a hernia this summer and will be week-to-week.

As mentioned, the on-ice portion of training camp will open up tomorrow, with the Canucks' first game of the preseason set for Sunday, September 21st at 5 p.m. PT against the Seattle Kraken.
