24-year-old Columbus Blue Jackets forward Yegor Chinakhov has abruptly demanded a trade, and it is now being coined as a perfect fit/opportunity for the Vancouver Canucks.

With the NHL offseason starting to wind down, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin is now starting to feel the pressure as he has not been able to pull off any big moves he was anticipating.
But, the Canucks have consistently been linked to stars all offseason, and earlier on Saturday, they were named as a perfect destination for Columbus Blue Jackets forward Dmitri Voronkov, who is coming off a solid year in Ohio and signed a two-year deal worth $4.175 million annually with the club in early July.
"Dmitri Voronkov is big and can score, but his Russian counterpart Kirill Marchenko emerged as the core piece for Columbus last season, which could make Voronkov expendable." Beggs said.

Vancouver Canucks should consider taking a stab at trading for Columbus Blue Jackets Young Star Yegor Chinakhov

Initially confirmed by reporter for The Athletic Aaron Portzline, young forward Yegor Chinakhov has requested a trade from Columbus' general manager, Don Waddell after a reported conflict with head coach Dean Evason.
News of the conflict was first heard about by Chinakhov's agent Shumi Babaev, who made it clear during in an interview with The Athletic.
"Chinakhov is comfortable with the team and with the city.

But he is not comfortable with this coach.

It's all because of the coach."

With the Vancouver Canucks in desperate need for some help up front to increase their offensive production, General Manager Patrik Allvin should consider putting together an offer for the young winger and former first-round pick who clearly has an extremely high ceiling.
It also seems, according to Chinakhov's agent, that communication between his client and the Blue Jackets' coach was strained throughout the season, and when he returned from a long injury, he was left out for almost the entire final month of the campaign.

Although Don Waddell has made it clear that he is not going to trade Chinakhov just to appease his wishes, he is open to moving him if the right return package is offered.
In 30 games last season, he netted 7 goals 8 assists for 15 points.
