The Vancouver Canucks have made significant progress on renovations at Rogers Arena, which look like they'll be ready to show off in time for puck drop in the preseason.

Those that have attended games at Rogers Arena in recent years have noticed that the interior of the building could use a bit of a refresh as it's coming up on the 30th anniversary of when it opened in downtown Vancouver.
In an email sent to season ticket holders back in March regarding an event, the team announced that they will be doing construction in the lower bowl to replace the old maroon seats this summer.
"We are hosting this event earlier in the year compared to previous seasons due to the organization's mission to begin the process of replacing the seats at Rogers Arena immediately following the conclusion of the Canucks season, during which time our team will have extremely limited access to the seating bowl due to construction" the team said back in March.

Vancouver Canucks make significant progress on Rogers Arena renovations

Throughout the offseason, there's been some updates regarding the seat changes and over the weekend, a Vancouver Canucks season ticket holder (@CanuckGirl43 on X), shared some images and video of how those renovations are going.
Based on the photos and video, it appears that the club has made some significant progress over the last month or so and are up to about 70 percent completion of the new black seats in the lower bowl.
"Rogers Arena seat replacement update as of a couple days ago.

It's coming along folks. Rest of it should be done by start of the #Canucks season with some exceptions. (I'll keep you in suspense.)" @CanuckGirl43 said.
Given the pace of the renovations, it looks like the club will have the lower bowl completed well ahead of the team's first preseason game at Rogers Arena, which is set for Friday, September 26th - 67 days from now, followed by their home opener a little less than two weeks later..
While the new black seats look really comfy, hopefully the club plans on replacing the ones in the upper bowl at some point in the near future, next summer perhaps, because the two different colours that can be seen in the video above looks quite strange, to say the least.
