The Vancouver Canucks were scouting yet another Eastern Conference team on Thursday night following a report that the two clubs engaged in trade talks.

Trade talks around the National Hockey League have been heating up of late and as everyone expected, the Vancouver Canucks are in the middle of things as General Manager Patrik Allvin tries to see what he can get for his pending unrestricted free agents, including the team's leading goal scorer Kiefer Sherwood.
In recent weeks, the Vancouver Canucks have been scouting several teams around the National Hockey League, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers, among others, as they eye up potential trade targets.
After a recent report came out indicating that Patrik Allvin & the Vancouver Canucks have engaged in trade talks with the Boston Bruins, it looks like they've sent a member of their scouting staff to watch them this week.

According to Shawn Hutcheon of The Fourth Period, the Vancouver Canucks were among 15 teams in attendance at last night's game between the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues, the latter of whom are expected to be big sellers leading up to the deadline.
"Scouts row is filled tonight for #stlblues vs #NHLBruins. This game is being scouted by OTT, SJS, ANA, NSH, NJD, TOR, NYI, WPG, FLA, DET, EDM, NYR, VAN, PIT, and MTL." Hutcheon said.
James Murphy of RG.org shared last week that the Boston Bruins have engaged in talks with the Vancouver Canucks regarding forwards Kiefer Sherwood and Conor Garland.
"They have 100 percent called on both players. They want scoring and believe that with some more, this team can definitely stay in the race and make some noise." A source said to Murphy.

Vancouver has made it known to teams around the league that they are not focused on futures in any trade made between now and the deadline on Friday, March 6th, as Patrik Allvin wants players that can help their roster right now.
The Boston Bruins certainly have some of those pieces that the Vancouver Canucks desire, especially down the middle with the club still in need for a second line centerman, with Pavel Zacha and Casey Mittelstadt, two players they've been linked to before, potential options for Patrik Allvin and the team's management staff to consider.
