LATEST | Knights forward ejected after nasty cross check
Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson was ejected in the 2nd period of Saturday's game against the Flyers after a nasty cross check to the face of Garnet Hathaway.
Stephenson caught the Flyers' forward up high after a whistle around the Golden Knights' net, sending Hathaway to the dressing room briefly.
The cross check seemingly came out of nowhere from Stephenson, who is not known as an overly physical or dirty player.
The major penalty was reviewed and upheld by the referees, the Flyers failed to score on the 5 minute power play but won the game 4-3 in overtime.
It's possible Stephenson could face supplemental discipline following the play, the forward has been tagged with one three game suspension in his career.
