Miller stands up for Pettersson: Drops the glove following big hit
There's always been some doubt regarding the relationship between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson. The events that just occurred in Arizona should be enough to shut down that narrative forever.
The game was midway through the second period in Arizona. The Canucks were on the powerplay and Elias Pettersson tried to walk the puck into the zone. The Coyotes' forward Jack McBain had other plans and laid a surprisingly massive hit on the Canucks' star forward.
Who other than the veteran Miller to jump in and defend his teammate? Miller jumped in straight away and sent a message that hitting Pettersson center-ice comes with a price.

If there were ever concerns about their relationship, this ought to close the debate. It also goes a long way to show just how close this group has gotten through the year.
