The Finnish centerman is viewed as the central piece in this trade for the Canucks. While Raty was only drafted the 52nd pick in the 2021 Draft, he was previously viewed as the top player in this draft. Though he fell out of touch in his draft year causing his draft stock to fall down a bit.
Raty has developed nicely in the AHL this year and the Abbotsford Canucks have been doing wonders lately under Jeremy Colliton's guidance. Perhaps he could center a line made of Nils Hoglander, Vasily Podkolzin, and himself, wouldn't that be interesting?
Allvin and Rutherford surely hold Raty in high esteem. After trading away the team captain, do you think Raty's development will determine the success rate of their tenure as the team's management party?
