Sportsnet' hockey insider Elliotte Friedman broke the news earlier today. The co-host of the 32 thoughts podcast and his insights during Sportsnet Hockey Night In Canada make him very trustworthy around the League.
Friedman is often the first to report breaking news and major developments with his numerous lists of sources. Unfortunately, there are also rumors that break that aren't meant to be let out yet, or things revealed that's happened behind closed doors.
For example, last week, the Ottawa Senators AHL affiliate Belleville Senators coach was terminated after sharing inside information with other teams in the League. It now appears the NHL team in Canada too also has what they call a "leaker". During The most recent 32 podcast, Friedman would reveal the news that the Vancouver Canucks have someone in their organization sharing management's news.
"Elliotte mentioned Canucks are trying to figure out how things are leaking to the media. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
(More in general. Not Rutherford related)."
This isn't a good thing to have as it affects the Canucks management's trust as well as gives other team's an unfair advantage when it comes to what the Canucks or any team dealing with a leaker has to deal with.
