BREAKING: No good news coming from the Board of Governors regarding the cap
The NHL governors were gelding a meeting over the last two days. Unfortunately, no good news for the Canucks management.
For those of you who were hoping for a cap increase that would give the Canucks more negotiation leverage in the Horvat case, your wishes have not been granted.
The cap is projected to only increase by a million (up to $83.5M). If the Canucks planned on gaining salary cap space from an increase on that end, they will have to try and find a different way. Especially since Miller's new deal will kick in at the end of the season and will account for 9.6% of that cap space.
