Cross-Check exchange in the MTL-FLA game and linesman ends up injured
It's known that the game in the NHL easily heats up and players quickly turn their sticks as weapons. Last night's matchup opposing the Panthers and the Canadiens proved it once again.
The whistle was already blown and Joel Edmundson gave a cross-check at Panthers' defenseman Radko Gudas, here's the sequence :
Edmundson ended his game with this, but so did the linesman who fell over Edmundson afterwards. The Canadiens defenseman received 14 minutes of penalty (10 misconduct, 2 roughing, 2 cross-checking). Kirby Dach also received a two minutes. The Panthers on the other hand only received two minutes to Staal and another two for Gudas.
No official statement has been made yet, but the linesman exited the game with what appeared to be a injury to his leg.
