Evander Kane Reportedly Attacked & Medically Treated in Vancouver Just Days After Being Traded to the Canucks

In a concerning series of events, it has been reported that former Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane was reportedly attacked and needed medical attention in Vancouver just days after being traded to the Canucks.
Coming into this offseason,
Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin has a ton of pressure on his shoulders to make the necessary moves in terms of trades and signings in order for the disastrous 2024-25 season to not repeat itself.
Evander Kane Attacked in Vancouver, but is okay
Nobody is happier about the move than Evander Kane himself, who was born and raised in Vancouver, watching the Canucks play for as long as he could remember.
"With that said, I'm incredibly excited for the next chapter of my career as I join the @Canucks . It's an honor to become part of an organization and team I grew up watching as a kid.
Vancouver is a city that lives and breathes hockey, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play in front of my hometown as I did many years ago as a Vancouver Giant." Kane said.
Unfortunately for him, his introduction back to his childhood city and team was not as welcoming as he hoped.
Per the 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast, it was reported that just days after being traded, Kane and his group of friends were attacked in Vancouver, where he needed medical attention for his injuries.
Although Kane has not been one to avoid controversy, being coined as a player that many GM's might not want in their organization, it is believed that the incident that took place was not instigated nor his fault and was simply a senseless act.
Evander Kane was jumped in Vancouver last night & he needed medical attention.
He's doing fine which is great to hear.
Apparently, a video will be released shortly proving that he did nothing wrong.
A video of the incident will be released to show that Kane did nothing wrong. His friends were being held back.
There is no update about his condition at this time but everyone here at Canucks Daily hopes he has a full recovery and that the fans or citizens of Vancouver get justice for their disgraceful actions.
