Demko injured during 1st period against Florida
It was a tough 59 second for Demko. In less then a minute, the Canucks allowed 3 goals and the last sequence ended up in Demko injuring himself.
The Canucks have made a statement:
It seems like he sustained a lower body injury, we'll know more once the medical staff examines him properly.
Demko stretched out to make a save and appeared to have injure his right leg on the play.
The netminder had been solid through the first 18 minutes of the period before a costly turnover for Luke Schenn resulted in a goal from Matthew Tkachuk. It degenerated from there.
Following the game, Boudreau stated that if Demko's needs time, they aren't afraid to roll with Martin.
