Horvat and Boudreau comment on coaching changes rumors
Team captain Bo Horvat has been outstanding all year, even though the team struggled badly. He did his best to keep the business side of this game out of the locker room in order to limit the distraction it could cause and his on-ice performance has certainly not been affected by it. Lately, someone else has been on the news a lot more than him.
During his post-game interview, the captain was asked about the atmosphere in the room since they'd started to hear these rumors and what it meant that the guys still came out on the ice, every night and played their heart's out.
"Obviously everyone hears it, it can't be easy...I'm sure it's not easy on him hearing that kinda stuff. We continue to battle for him. He's a really good person and a good coach. Everyone wants to play for him."
The ongoing rumor has Boudreau being replaced by Rick Tocchet after the All-Star week-end, Boudreau was also asked to comment on the rumors and gave quite an interview on the subject:
«I just wake up every day and go to work until they tell me not to»
Horvat now has 48 points in 43 games and his next goal will tie his career-high just a little over halfway through the season. This leaves him plenty of games to shatter that record, the questions behind it are, will it be with the Canucks? If so, will Boudreau be behind the bench?
