Seravalli said that Nichushkin left the team because of an alcohol-related incident while at the team's hotel in Seattle, presumably the day before Game 3 against the Kraken.
On Tuesday, Nichushkin's agent Mark Gandler denied those reports from Seravalli about his client.
Regardless of what the issue may be, it's important that before releasing a report, to clarify and confirm the facts. This isn't the first time Frank Seravalli has found himself on the wrong side of a false report, as dating back to March 2022, when he said Robin Lehner would miss the rest of the season with an injury, which was later denied by the Golden Knights netminder.
We hope Nichushkin and his family are doing well and that he's able to return to the Colorado Avalanche lineup when the time is appropriate.
