LATEST | There it is: the nickname for Elias Pettersson has now been determined
The Canucks seem to be in love with Swedes as they count loads of them within their ranks. If they're named Elias Pettersson it also comes as a bonus.
The Canucks have had Elias Pettersson, the superstar since they drafted him back in 2017. However, the team struck again when they drafted Elias Pettersson in 2022, the defenseman.
Obviously, this caused a load of problems and Chris Faber addressed the issue when he had him on his podcast. The younger Pettersson stated that from all the nicknames he had heard or seen out there, the one he preferred was ''D-Pettey'':
D-Pettey signed his entry-level contract with the Canucks just a few days ago. The plan, for now, is that he remains in Sweden for the next. The Canucks selected him in the 3rd Round of last year's draft, standing 6'03'' and 196 pounds, he'll definitely be a player to keep an eye on.
