The Canucks issued an official statement concerning their right winger:
It doesn't stop there for BB6, the 26-year-old is also the Canucks' nominee for the Bill-Masterton Memorial Trophy, which is awarded annually to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey.
As everybody is well aware, Brock's father Duke lost his battle to dementia and cancer last year. It's really been a tough emotional passage for the young man who's also had to deal with an injury early in the season. Brock opened up on the subject to Patrick Johnston of the Province on the subject:
As Boeser mentioned, he's truly taken a big turn as of late. He and J.T. Miller have been constant offensive producers for the team since Tocchet came in. Boeser now counts 17 goals, and 37 assists for 54 points in 71 games. Had he played a full season he would've managed a career-high 62 points, not bad for a ''down'' season.
