The Canucks are in the midst of a retooling and they have holes in their lineup that desperately need fixing. In their attempt to make a playoff-contending team, they'll be looking to add a centerman to slot in behind Miller and Pettersson and they may look to add another defenseman to their young group.
The renowned Insider, Darren Dreger, was on VanCast earlier this week and revealed valuable information as to what Allvin's plan may be heading into this off-season.
On some level, this could come off as good news since the Canucks desperately need more depth. However, Allvin should make it a priority to stick to his plan of aiming for players in his early 20s. Dreger stated that he thought they were going to be more age-sensitive and that may indicate that Allvin and Rutherford are already thinking about jumping ahead.
