The Winnipeg Jets And San Jose Sharks Talking A Major Trade!
With the NHL trade deadline now just two weeks away team's are looking over their rosters ahead o What f deciding Whether or not to be sellers or traders over the final days ahead of March 3rd's deadline day.
One of team's we know is selling is the San Jose Sharks, the Sharks have two players garnishing plenty of attention in defenceman Erik Karlsson, and one getting most attention forward Timo Meier.
One team that's believed to have plenty of interest in Meier according to Hockey Insider Nick Kypreos is the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets believe they have a team to compete for a Stanley Cup and with that win now Mentality, the Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is looking to add at the trade deadline.
However according to Kypreos for the Jets to acquire Meier could cost them prospect Cole Perfetti. The 21 year-old was the Jets 10th overall pick in the 2020 draft and is projected to be a elite top 6 forward in the NHL. In Perfetti's 1st full season with the Jets he's got 7 goals, and 22 assists in 50 games.
Perfetti would be a tough decision to give up but in return the Jets have a change to add another 30 goal player in Timo Meier heading into the playoffs.
