One team that's believed to have plenty of interest in Meier according to Hockey Insider Nick Kypreos is the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets believe they have a team to compete for a Stanley Cup and with that win now Mentality, the Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is looking to add at the trade deadline.
However according to Kypreos for the Jets to acquire Meier could cost them prospect Cole Perfetti. The 21 year-old was the Jets 10th overall pick in the 2020 draft and is projected to be a elite top 6 forward in the NHL. In Perfetti's 1st full season with the Jets he's got 7 goals, and 22 assists in 50 games.
