A future Hall of Famer and two-time Stanley Cup champion appears to be gearing up for his 38th season of professional hockey and isn't slowing down just yet.
'Legend' is a word that should be reserved for a handful of players that have ever suited up in the National Hockey League, among them being Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr and Mario Lemiuex and of course, Jaromir Jagr.
Jagr, who sits second on the National Hockey League's all-time points list,
was intending to retire last season with his hometown team, the Kladno Knights, finishing the year with 16 points in 39 games.
While Jagr hasn't officially put pen-to-paper yet, it looks like he's preparing to play during the 2025-26 season, putting a halt to his plans of retiring from professional hockey.

In a post on social media last Friday, Andrew Zadarnowski shared a picture of Jaromir Jagr on the ice with Kladno as they opened up their training camp for the upcoming season.
"Guess who? At 53-years young, it looks like Jaromir Jagr is not yet ready to retire. He began training with his Kladno team, but he does not yet have a contract." Zadarnowski said.
Despite not having a contract, as mentioned, Jagr
suited up for Kladno's preseason opener on Tuesday against fellow Czech side, Litvinov, and the 53-year-old managed to get on the scoresheet, registering an assist on Martin Prochazka's powerplay marker in the second period.
The plan for Jagr this coming season is still a bit unclear, with Kladno's Head Coach David Cermak very much open to the possibility of having the former fifth-overall pick on his team's roster this year.

"He does not have a contract yet, he has to sign it first. There is an agreement that if possible, he will come to the ice with us," Cermak said.
