Following the game, the NHL issued a statement announcing that J.T. Miller had became the third player in team history to score an OT winner in the final five seconds of the period.

With his 23rd on the season, Miller now has 69 points through 53 games which paces him for 106 points on the season. Miller is on his way to beat his career high 99 (2021-2022).
