The Calgary, AB native, who went from a zero to a hero as fast as possible, may face his first suspension. Rangers' 6'8" and 240-pound winger Matt Rempe crossed a line tonight while playing the Devils.

Even though he's spent most of his career in the penalty box, he's already built a strong reputation. The 21-year-old has already dropped the gloves to some of the NHL's fiercest fighters, Nicolas Deslauriers, Mathieu Olivier, Ryan Reaves and Matt Martin. Now that everybody knows he can use his fist to defend his actions, he is taking some liberties on the ice.

The Rangers' forward was caught throwing a vicious hit on the Devils' defenseman Joonas Siegenthaler. A few feet away from the boards and elbows in the sky. After Kurtis MacDermis tried chasing him down, he was immediately sent to the showers:

Before tonight's game, Rempe had played in nine NHL games, scoring a goal, providing an assist, and playing 39 minutes in the box.
