MAJOR | Alex Galchenyuk will face justice on a number of charges: The full explanation to his release
It caused a major stir in the Hockey universe when it was announced that the Coyotes had decided to terminate his contract 12 days after signing it.
The team blamed «off-ice issues» as the reason behind this line of event as now seen the light of day:
''Scottsdale Police Department has confirmed to The Athletic that Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on July 9 on a number of charges including private property hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest, Threatening or Intimidating''
It's not the first time Galchenyuk has been reprimanded for his off-ice issues. After 9 NHL teams (and a few AHL stints along the way), the 29-year-old will have a hard time finding a new job in the NHL.
