NHL Insider Has Ex-Vancouver Canucks Head Coach John Tortorella Reuniting with Former Organization

An NHL insider has linked ex-Vancouver Canucks head coach John Tortorella to one of his former teams for his next job in the league following his dismissal in Philadelphia.
It's been a little less than a week since Philadelphia Flyers fired John Tortorella, with some reports suggesting it had to do with a verbal altercation with defenseman Cam York.
John Tortorella's coaching future in the National Hockey League isn't known at this time, with retirement or even a management career, similar to what Barry Trotz did, all possibilities for the 66-year-old.

During a recent appearance on the Flames Nation podcast, TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger shared that one team that makes sense for John Tortorella is the New York Rangers and that's only if they decide to move on from Peter Laviolette.
"For me, the New York Rangers are the only team that, right now, makes sense. And the reason I feel like that, and no disrespect to Peter Laviolette, it's because I know that James Dolan, the owner of the New York Rangers, loves John Tortorella." Dreger said.
He went on to add, "What I do know is you've got a very hands-on, volatile owner who is not going to sit back and say 'Yeah, okay, status quo, that works. I'm comfortable with the way things are.' He does like John Tortorella, so that would be a scenario that does make some sense."

Tortorella, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, spent parts of five seasons with the New York Rangers between 2008-09 and 2012-13, leading them to three Stanley Cup Playoff appearances including a trip to the Eastern Conference Final in 2012.
There's a lot riding on the New York Rangers this season and if the team fails to make a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there's a good chance that a coaching change will happen and an opportunity for the former Canuck John Tortorella to get back behind the bench.
