31-Year-Old Vancouver Canucks Forward Suddenly Leaves the Organization After Signing New Contract
A Vancouver Canucks forward has officially left the organization on Wednesday for another Canadian team after spending four seasons in British Columbia.
On Wednesday, the second day of the National Hockey League's free agency period, another member of the Vancouver Canucks organization decided it was time to move on, but he'll be remaining in Canada for the 2025-26 campaign.

In a post on social media, PuckPedia revealed that Vancouver Canucks forward Phil Di Giuseppe, who helped the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks to a Calder Cup championship last month, has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the Winnipeg Jets.
According to PuckPedia, Di Giuseppe's contract will pay him the league minimum of $775,000 at the NHL level and $450,000 if he's in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose.

Di Giuseppe, a native of Toronto, Ontario, joined the Vancouver Canucks organization as an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2021 after two seasons with
the New York Rangers.
After spending the entire first year in the American Hockey League, the 31-year-old bounced up and down between the Vancouver Canucks and the minors over the last three seasons, appearing in 101 NHL games where he registered 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists), 54 penalty minutes and was a minus-four.
