INJURY UPDATE | Important development on the wingers department: The training camp surprise may have been identified
Tanner Pearson has generated tons of headlines over the past few months due to the ''alleged'' mistreatment of his injury. The forward turned what was meant to be a 4-6 weeks injury into a season ending succession of surgeries.
There had been speculations that his career might've been in play and that he could be destined to play the remaining year of his contract on the LTIR (Long-Term Injury Reserve).
However, there's been a huge development on his case and images of Pearson on the ice were leaked:
The forward appears to be in an exquisite shape and while no official statement have been made in regards to his full participation in the team's training camp, everything points to Pearson being at a 100% by then.
Pearson will have to prove to Rick Tocchet that he still belongs in the NHL and that he is worthy of a roster spot over one of Vasily Podkolzin, Nils Hoglander, Dakota Joshua, or even Anthony Beauvilier. His return will create a very interesting battle in training camp, but will also create an interesting puzzle for Allvin and his salary cap management.
