The feeling weren't unanimous when the Canucks acquired the much needed right handed shot Defenseman Filip Hronek. An injury last year only had him available for a few games, but it's been a whole different story since the season started.

THE PIECE THE CANUCKS NEEDED
Paired up to the team's captain Quinn Hughes, Hronek has been an absolute standout at both ends of the ice. Through 15 games this season, Hronek has managed to collect 16 assists and it's now brought him into history. The league issued a statement acknowledging his prowess:

‘'Defenseman Filip Hronek became just the third player in Canucks history with an assist streak of 10-plus games. The others: Dennis Kearns (11 GP in 1976-77) and Daniel Sedin (11 GP in 2009-10).

* Filip Hronek (0-13—13 in 10 GP) became the seventh defenseman in the past 30 years with an assist streak of 10-plus games. The others: Erik Karlsson (14 GP in 2022-23), Cale Makar (13 GP in 2021-22), Josh Morrissey (11 GP in 2022-23), Garry Galley (11 GP in 1993-94), Roman Josi (10 GP in 2021-22) and Sergei Gonchar (10 GP in 2012-13).''

Playing top minutes pairing ever since he was acquired by the Canucks, it's hard to not look at this trade being one of the best Allvin's done ever since he landed the GM job in Vancouver.
The Canucks still need to add more on defence, but Hughes and Hronek sure gets your defensive core started off on the right foot.
