A former Vancouver Canucks fan-favourite will be looking to earn an NHL contract next month after signing a PTO.

On Thursday, the Anaheim Ducks announced that they've signed forward Zack Kassian to a professional try-out contract, which will see him join the team for training camp and pre-season games next month.
"NEWS: We have signed Zack Kassian to a professional tryout." The Ducks said in a post on their X account.

The 32-year-old spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes and being with the Edmonton Oilers for the previous seven years. In 51 games with the Coyotes, Kassian had two goals, 50 penalty minutes and was a minus-18.
Kassian, a native of Windsor, Ontario, played parts of four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks between the 2011-12 and 2014-15 seasons where he appeared in 171 games, tallying 59 points and 287 penalty minutes, which included ten fighting majors.
