On Thursday, the Anaheim Ducks announced that they've signed forward Zack Kassian to a professional try-out contract, which will see him join the team for training camp and pre-season games next month.
The 32-year-old spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes and being with the Edmonton Oilers for the previous seven years. In 51 games with the Coyotes, Kassian had two goals, 50 penalty minutes and was a minus-18.
Kassian, a native of Windsor, Ontario, played parts of four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks between the 2011-12 and 2014-15 seasons where he appeared in 171 games, tallying 59 points and 287 penalty minutes, which included ten fighting majors.
