The National Hockey League's 2025-26 season could end up being a pretty big one for Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser, at least from an individual standpoint.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin made some big decisions this summer, which included a last-minute phone call with Brock Boeser that led to him
signing a seven-year deal with the club, keeping the 28-year-old in British Columbia until the summer of 2032.
With Boeser sticking around long-term, the Canucks are hoping that he'll be able to be a significant factor in the team's offense for many years to come and starting this season, the Burnsville, Minnesota native is close to a few milestones, as pointed out initially by Adam Kierszenblat of The Hockey News.
Vancouver Canucks' Brock Boeser close four milestones ahead of 2025-26 season
In an article on Sunday for The Hockey News, Kierszenblat mentioned that Brock Boeser is closing in on four milestones heading into the 2025-26 campaign, most notably 450 career points, as he needs 16 more to reach the mark and with a hot start, there's no reason why he can't get to that by the end of October.
By hitting the 450 career point mark, Boeser would also pass former Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi for tenth-most in the team's history.
Along with career points, Kierszenblat shared that is 25 assists away from being 15th on the team's all-time assists list and needs seven more power play goals to enter the top-five in the history of the club.
"Moving to power play goals, Boeser should make his way into the top-five in franchise history before the year is done. He has recorded 73, which ranks seventh all-time among Canucks players. If Boeser can score seven on the power play in 2025-26, he will pass Stan Smyl (74) and Bertuzzi (79) and move into fifth all-time in franchise history." Kierszenblat said.
Boeser also needs to appear in 46 games this season to become the 16th player to appear in 600 games as a Vancouver Canuck and if he's able to stay healthy for the entire season, he should hit that mark on Tuesday, January 13th against the Ottawa Senators.
It's going to be a big season for Brock Boeser, as is he hoping to get back to the 40-goal plateau and the form he was in two years ago, which would give him the seventh 20+ goal campaign of his Naitonal Hockey League career, a feat that will certainly happen by the time all is said and done next April.
