With the Vancouver Canucks putting together one of their best performances of the season against the powerhouse Winnipeg Jets, one of the stars in the matchup was Brock Boeser, and Captain Quinn Hughes did not shy away about describing how important his relationship with him has been over the years.

In what has been a dram filled season for the Vancouver Canucks, it has not gotten any easier when it comes to the conversation about Brock Boeser future with the team.
A recent report indicated that amid a contract stalemate and a breaking down relationship with general manager Patrik Allvin, Boeser is becoming more and more unsettled with his situation in Vancouver.

One person on the team who has voiced his opinion on Brock Boeser and the importance he plays on the Canucks is captain Quinn Hughes.

After the Canucks played some of, if not their their best hockey on Tuesday, besting the powerhouse Winnipeg Jets 6-2, Quinn Hughes chose to focus his attention in the post-game interview on his good friend and teammate Brock Boeser.

Hughes brought up about how much Boeser has meant to him in his tenure here, and that as the captain of the Canucks, he has been someone he can lean on and ultimately hopes that the organization can re-sign him.

«Brock's one of my closest friends. He's been someone I can lean on. Just a quality friend over 6 years I've been herehopefully he can get on a roll here."
It was the perfect timing to bring up his significance on the team as he scored 2 goals and 1 assists to reach 20 goals on the season for the 6th time in his 9-year NHL career.
All reports account that Boeser and the Canucks are very far off on what they want out of a contract extension.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli says that with everything that has gone on between him and Allvin, Boeser will no doubt test free agency, ultimately meaning he is on the verge of leaving.
