There's no question that Elias Pettersson hasn't looked like himself recently, and if the Canucks are going to have success in the postseason, they're going to need the Swedish forward to turn things around quickly.
In recent weeks, Pettersson has struggled to produce offensively, and Game 2 was no exception. On the powerplay during the first period in Game 2, Pettersson missed a vast open night that would've been a crucial goal for the Canucks to tie up the game.
Following the game, while meeting with the media, Pettersson was critical of his play lately and said that he deserves to take plenty of the blame for Tuesday's loss to Nashville.
In the team's final 20 games of the regular season, Pettersson had 14 points, and while that does sound positive, three of those were multi-point efforts and in 11 of those games, he went pointless.
