New Photos Accidentally Hint That Canucks Star Elias Pettersson Quietly Got Engaged To Social Media Model

Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson appears to have made a big life-changing decision this summer has he continues preparations for the 2025-26 season.
The 2024-25 season was undoubtedly the toughest of Elias Pettersson's career in the National Hockey League thus far for several reasons which included dealing with a knee injury which restricted his ability to train last summer, along with a feud with now-former teammate J.T. Miller.
Pettersson recently spoke with NHL.com about the upcoming season and shared that it's going to be a "revenge" season for himself and he wants to lead by example.
"I haven't thought about it, but for myself it's revenge. I'm not happy with last season." Pettersson said.
He added, "I'm trying to lead by example. But I know that I can become a better leader, in that aspect. I'm trying my best, but also trying to get better."

As the summer rolls along, with training camp now less than six weeks away, it looks like Elias Pettersson has made a pretty big life-changing decision off the ice.

While at the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's Olympic orientation camp this week, Pettersson took part in a photoshoot during a press event and in one of the photos, the Canucks forward was seen wearing a ring on his left ring finger.
As pointed out by Rob Williams of Daily Hive, this follows a TikTok video posted a couple of weeks ago by Elias Pettersson's partner, American model Katelyn Byrd, who appeared to be wearing a diamond engagement ring as well.
"She, too, has a new addition to her left-hand ring finger, with what appears to be a diamond engagement ring." Williams said.
While neither Pettersson or Byrd have posted anything making it official, if the two are indeed engaged, then everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to send our congratulations to the couple.
Everyone in Vancouver is eagerly awaiting Elias Pettersson's return to the city and with a very productive summer under his belt, which has included him being able to train at 100 percent, it could be a big bounce back season for the Sundsvall, Sweden native.
