While speculation remains rampant around Quinn Hughes and whether he has a long term future with the Vancouver Canucks, the upcoming season could play a huge part in deciding if Quinn Hughes extends with the team that drafted him.

The Canucks captain is ready to get back to playing hockey, but this summer has repeatedly been fielding questions about comments regarding his future made by both his boss and his brother.

Questions circle around Quinn Hughes' future with the Vancouver Canucks

With only a couple more weeks to go until preseason starts, Quinn Hughes would probably like the puck to drop tomorrow.
For now, the focus of media questioning has been solely on whether Hughes will resign with the Vancouver Canucks, which he could do on July 1.
The 25 year old captain hasn't committed to staying or going, but makes it clear that another disappointing year like last season might make the decision simple.
Last year was a failure. Let's see what we can do. I'll answer this question with my actions next summer.
Politely, it seems Quinn Hughes is trying to say there's nothing to say - but fans are divided on whether or not he appears to be leaning in any direction.
Recent speculation, fueled by comments made by Jim Rutherford and Jack Hughes both, are that the Hughes brothers all plan to play together some day and it may be a foregone conclusion that Quinn is leaving Vancouver.
The best hope of convincing him otherwise, however, could be a winning season for the Canucks.
