Vancouver Canucks Confirmed to be Working the Phones for Pending St. Louis Blues Star UFA

The Vancouver Canucks could be grasping another waiver opportunity, with the St.Louis Blues placing Alexdandre Texier on waivers for the purpose of contract termination, similarly to the David Kampf situation.
The Canucks are still looking to replace Filip Chytil and Teddy Blueger who have been injured for an extended period of time.
Canucks look to acquire Texier from Blues.
Tyler Kuehl of Canucks Army has reported on the possibility of Texier joining the Canucks. It would be another Kampf situation, where it doesn't fix the problem but it helps add a little bit of depth. Texier has had a roller coaster of a career, and maybe Vancouver is where he can find some stability.
"At one point, Texier was regarded as a solid prospect. He was taken by the Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft, but never found his scoring touch in the league. After being loaned to the ZSC Lions of the National League in Switzerland in 2022-23, he returned to Columbus to set career highs in goals (12) and points (30)."-Kuehl
Now with the Blues he played only eight of the 21 games this season, and was put on waivers to make room for Jake Neighbours. Texier has played in 240 games in the NHL scoring 40 goals and 51 assists for 91 points. He also has eight points in 21 playoff games.

It will be interesting to see if Texier can make an impact for the Canucks, when they need it the most.
