As everyone knows by now, it's been an injury-filled start to the 2025-26 season for the Vancouver Canucks as Adam Foote's group
has been without several players including Teddy Blueger, Filip Chytil, Thatcher Demko,
Nils Hoglander and Victor Mancini, the latter of whom was activated off injured reserve a couple days ago.
Amid their injury issues, the Vancouver Canucks have been trying to keep their heads above water in a very competitive Pacific Division but it's been tough, with the club sitting in seventh with a record of 8-9-2 through 19 games.
Vancouver Canucks fans are hoping that the team can return to full health sooner rather than later to keep their playoff hopes alive and on Sunday, Patrik Allvin gave updates on a few of the team's players that are currently on the sidelines.

When meeting with reporters via Zoom on Sunday morning
following the signing of David Kampf yesterday, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin gave injury updates on forward Teddy Blueger and Filip Chytil, along with goaltender Thatcher Demko.
Starting off with
Teddy Blueger, who was injured in mid-October during a game against the Washington Captials,
but returned to the ice on November 5th, Allvin says that he think the Riga, Latvia native will still be out on a week-to-week basis.
"Patrik Allvin says Teddy Blueger is skating, but he still thinks he's week-to-week." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 said.
There was some good news regarding Chytil on Sunday as Patrik Allvin shared that the 26-year-old centerman is feeling better and has been skating back in Vancouver.
"Patrik Allvin says Filip Chytil is skating again and feeling better." Batchelor said.
Finally, Allvin also gave an update on Thatcher Demko, who was out of the lineup for last weekend's back-to-back for "maintenance reasons" and in his return to the crease on November 11th, he lasted just one period before leaving due to injury.
The following morning,
reports indicated that Demko will miss two-to-three weeks with a groin injury and while he didn't confirm a timeline or what the netminder is dealing with, Patrik Allvin said that the San Diego native is out week-to-week.
"Patrik Allvin says Thatcher Demko is week-to-week." Batchelor said.
Without Demko, the Vancouver Canucks are going to be in tough as they look to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot and hopefully for the team's sake, he'll be back between the pipes before well before Christmas.
