Amid injury issues at all three levels, the Vancouver Canucks organization has officially announced the signings of an NCAA champion to a professional tryout.
It's been a tough start to the 2025-26 season for the Vancouver Canucks
as their injury issues are starting to cause a trickle-down effect to both of their minor league affiliate - the Abbotsford Canucks and Kalamazoo Wings.
This week, with Vancouver's injury issues now affecting their blue line, the organization has been forced to sign yet another player to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

In a press release on their official website, the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks announced that they're bringing NCAA champion Robby Drazner in on a PTO.
"Abbotsford Canucks General Manager,
Ryan Johnson, announced today that the club has signed defenceman Robby Drazner to a professional try-out agreement." the club said.
Drazner, 25,
joined the organization last month by signing a one-year contract with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings after spending the previous five seasons in the NCAA with Miami University (Ohio) and Western Michigan University.
"The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, announced Friday that rookie forward Cam Knuble and rookie defenseman Robby Drazner have signed Standard Player Contracts (SPCs) for the 2025-26 season." the Wings said in early September.
Last season, his only with Western Michigan University, Drazner registered 14 points (five goals, nine assists), six penalty minutes and was a plus-18 in 42 games, helping his school win their first-ever NCAA Championship.
The Buffalo Grove, Illinois native is expected to be available for tonight's game as the Abbotsford Canucks host the Calgary Wranglers, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
