Vancouver Canucks Reveal Brand New Lineup for Tonight's Game Vs Colorado Avalanche
The Vancouver Canucks will take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight for their second game of a quick two-game homestand and it's going to be a tough test for Rick Tocchet's group.
Vancouver Canucks' lineup, starting netminder revealed for Tuesday's game
On Tuesday, the Vancouver Canucks took to the ice for their morning skate at Rogers Arena as they prepare to host the Colorado Avalanche and it looks like Quinn Hughes is set to miss a second straight game.
Hughes took to the ice before the morning skate began and looked good out there, but after a talk with Rick Tocchet, headed down the tunnel and back to the team's locker room.
"#Canucks Quinn Hughes on ice ahead of morning skate working with skills coach. Moving well. But no word yet on his status for tonight" Jeff Patterson of Canucks Army said.
"Quinn Hughes sat on the bench having a long conversation with Rick Tocchet and the training staff and has now gone back down the tunnel to the room. #Canucks" Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet said.
The forward lines from Sunday's overtime loss to Detroit will stay the same tonight, while the defensive pairings also looking similar to the other night, with
Derek Forbort playing on the top pair with
Filip Hronek.
Carson Soucy was skating with newly acquired Victor Mancini and it looks like he'll be a healthy scratch for the second straight game, which is interesting, especially after
a report came out earlier today saying that 30-year-old is available for trade.
"Tuesday morning skate #Canucks lines
DeBrusk. Pettersson. Boeser.
Joshua. Chytil. Garland.
O'Connor. Suter. Sherwood.
Hoglander. Blueger. Karlsson.
Forbort. Hronek.
MPettersson. Myers.
Pettersson. Juulsen.
Soucy. Mancini."
Sportsnet's Brendan Batchelor also shared that
Thatcher Demko was the first goaltender off the ice at the morning skate, which means he'll be getting the start in net for the Canucks tonight.
"Thatcher Demko is the first goalie off the ice at #Canucks morning skate." Batchelor said.
Puck drop for tonight's game against the Colorado Avalanche is set for 7 pm PT and can be viewed in the Vancouver area on Sportsnet Pacific.
