MAJOR | The verdict is in for Nikita Zadorov's illegal hit: Hefty suspension announced
During the Canucks' overtime loss to the Red Wings, Big Z delivered a massive hit on the Wings' forward Lucas Raymond. Viewed to be at his opponent's head, the Defenseman was sent to the dressing room with a match penalty.
The NHL player safety department later issued a statement confirming that he'd be getting a hearing following his hit:
Vancouver's Nikita Zadorov will have a hearing this evening for an illegal check to the head on Detroit's Lucas Raymond. Following the hearing, the NHL issued a formal statement confirming that Zadorov would be suspended for two games.
