BREAKING | Canucks inked another client of Dan Milstein
The Canucks' GM, Patrik Allvin and the player agent Dan Milstein have been growing quite the relationship lately. The pair have been inking lots of deals and they just added another to the lot.
Allvin release a statement announcing that the Canucks had signed Kirill Kudryavtsev to an entry-level contract.
The left-handed defenseman is currently lining up with the Soo Greyhounds in the WHL. The Canucks had selected him with their 7th round pick in the 2022 Draft. He's developed quite nicely, after posting 39 points in 68 games last year, the Russian is already at 45 in 60 outings. The PuckPedia gave us the breakdown of his contract.
The defenseman was held in high esteem in last year's draft and here's what the EliteProspect scouts had to say about him:
"One of the smartest activators in the draft class, Kudryavtsev's upside comes from both supporting the offence and creating it. He anticipates hand-offs along the boards, using that space to shoot."
Surely tells us a lot about this player's upside. Even though the percentage of entry-level contracts actually making it to fulltime NHLers is fairly low, will Kudryavtsev crack the lineup? Time will tell, but it looks promising.
