BREAKING: WHL Players save a life
Four Brandon Wheat Kings were involved in a suicide attempt rescue
Calder Anderson, Nolan Ritchie, Jake Chiasson (Oilers 2021 draft pick) and Ben Thornton were on the city's First Street Bridge on Tuesday.
Cars were speeding by but the four young men stopped and turn around to see a men that stood on one of the cement abudments for light poles.
Turns out he was contemplating the idea of jumping overboard. They talked him down while calling the emergency responders. Now, that's what you call stepping up.
The four guys had already been giving their time the morning of the incident at a local charity. On times where everything's about the Team Canada Scandal, it's nice to have some heartfelt story as well.
Mental health is important, if you feel the need, know that their is support for you everywhere.
