I think we all can agree Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand is a douchbag, that not many people in the NHL like. That reputation he's earned hasn't made him have the best relationship with NHL Officials, and the NHL management.
But every so often Marchand has a point, and this might be one of them, Marchand was very vocal on social media over the incident that occurred during the game between the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings. When Kings goaltender Phoenix Copley lost his s##t and punched a Ducks player in the face during a scrum infront of the net.
Copley would then almost fight Ducks goaltender John Gibson who skated to center to challenge Copley until the officials broke it up. Copley was tossed for a game misconduct but didn't receive any further Discipline from the NHL.
This caused Marchand to comment after his own numerous suspensions and some that were not as bad as what Copley did, saying:
"I got 6 games for a love tap, he got off with murder if you wanna compare apples.
Many don't often agree with Marchand, but he's clearly got a point and it's not like this was Copley's first rodeo, he's already had an altercation with St Louis Blues' Jordan Binngton. So the NHL definitely needs to decide their punishments more accordingly, as being partial isn't working nor is it fair.
