No matter what team you're cheering for, all eyes of the hockey world have been on Chicago Blackhawks and Patrick Kane. The 34-year-old has been all over the news of late and when he will finally be traded.
The destination has constantly been the New York Rangers, but many believed that door was closed after the Vladimir Tarasenko trade. There's then been rumors of Kane heading to Edmonton, Dallas, Vegas, Carolina and even Toronto.
But the Kane to the Rangers hasn't died down and over the past couple days, numerous sources have claimed that a Kane trade is in the final stages and about to be announced.
Friday night, Rangers insider Andrew Graziano would share this major announcement on his Twitter account.
"Breaking: Sources are telling me that Chicago forward Patrick Kane is being traded to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Vitali Kravtsov, forward Barclay Goodrow, defenceman Zac Jones, along with a 2024 1st round pick. Chicago will retain 50% of Kane's salary. The Montreal Canadiens will retain 25% in exchange of a 2023 4th round pick." It looks like the trade is finally going to happen and when it's official, the New York Rangers are going to be exciting to watch, seeing Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane reunited.
